Mars_to_MainTalk to the Mars Curiosity rover flight director – the third in a series of exciting activities taking place during Paradise Valley Community College’s Spring Into STEM series.  The event is free, open to the public, and held at the PVCC Center for the Performing Arts located at 34th Street and Union Hills Drive in Phoenix.

Discover the important role the state of Arizona played in this historic endeavor and how small businesses support the mission and contribute to its success. The evening features an interactive Skype conversation with rock star scientist and “Mohawk Guy” Bobak Ferdowsi, Curiosity Mission flight director, and guest speaker Dr. James Ashley, post-doctoral associate in Planetary Geology at ASU’s School of Earth and Space Exploration.

Breakout sessions will focus on PVCC’s astronomy and biology programs, and the college’s small business start-up program, designed for entrepreneurs and others who want to grow their small business.
